If you are currently an Online Banking user, enrollment for Text Message Banking is as easy as 1-2-3.  Simply, log into Online Banking.  Click on the Alerts tab located under the Account Summary navigation button.  Click the Activate button to get started.  

1.  Enter your mobile phone number.

  • Enter the mobile phone number you will be using to send and receive text messages in the fields provided.  Only US based phone numbers are supported.
  • Select the Terms and Conditions checkbox in order to continue. You can click on the Terms and Conditions link and review the text messaging disclosure statement.
  • After you have checked the Terms and Conditions box, the Next button will become enabled.  Once you click on Next, an activation code will be text to your phone. 

2.  Enter the activation code.

  • You should enter the activation code that the system has sent to your cell phone in the field provided on the screen, e.g. 123456.
  • Click the Next button.  If successful, the final step displays where you will select the primary account that will be used for your text inquires and notifications.    

3.  Select your primary account. 

  • Select the primary account from the drop down list (e.g. CHECKINGx1234, only the last four numbers of the account are shown).
  • The "Send me a text message with my primary account balance every Friday" checkbox is selected by default.  Click the checkbox to deselect if you do not wish to receive weekly account balance notifications.
  • Clicking the Done button displays a "Congratulations" message on your screen and sends a "Welcome" text message to your phone.  
  • The screen within Online Banking will refresh to display the Text Message Banking and Email Alert screen.
